BEGINNING VIOLIN PERIOD 5: 
OBJECTIVE: PREPARATION FOR HOLIDAY PERFORMANCE ON DECEMBER 9th
1. TUNE

2. Major Scales 1 octave UH bow played double stopped for those who are ready to try it
3. HOLIDAY SONG: HAVA NAGILA
.....a. Worked on articulation (having everyone start and stop together)
.....b. Pulled out selected passages and worked to clean up problems without recorded accompaniment
.....c. Practice Technique:
...........1)Had students sing note letter names (with piano) before playing them
...........2)Students sang and played with the piano
.....d. Practiced with recorded accompaniment

VIOLIN PERIOD 4: 
OBJECTIVE: Preparation for: Harvest Day performance on October 28th/Holiday Program December 9th
1. TUNE
2. MUSIC STANDS WERE SET-UP

4. REVIEW SONGS FOR THE HARVEST FESTIVAL

.....c. Worked on trying to blend sounds with the accompaniment
..........1)We are still having trouble hearing the accompaniment when playing
..........2)People playing the lower parts are playing too loud and have been instructed that if they cannot hear the accompaniment they need to soften up their sounds.
3 SCHOOL PRACTICE DAYS LEFT FOR THE HARVEST CONCERT
