STUDENTS SENT TO KEYBOARDS TO PRACTICE MUSIC FOR THE RECITAL/TEACHER TO HELP STUDENTS AS NEEDED

ADVANCED STRINGS: HASTE TO THE WEDDING ALL THE WA THROUGH/ SILENT NIGHT

BEGINNING VIOLIN: LEFT PIZZICATO CYCLE OF STRINGS 4x (using pointer or 1st finger)THEN my sister marcy rhythm 2X each string using middle (2nd)finger

teach about guitar position and then modified version of right hand pizzicato (show the more common forms of right hand pizzicato first) Reason for the use of this type of pizzicato(type used in a guitar position with the side of the thumb plucking and the other finger tips anchored against the fingerboard) is that it when plucking this way in the regular playing position the right arm is preparing for the transition for bowing.

Rule: Never bow where you pluck or pluck here you bow: meaning that pizzicato generally is performed over the fingerboard

Tomorrow we will play cripple creek with new right hand pizzicato and reading open string notes with colors
