“Music is meaningless noise, until it touches a receiving mind.”
AUTHOR: Paul Hindemith
MEANING OF THE QUOTE:
“Art only has meaning for those who bother to spend the time to
really think about what the artist is trying to convey.”

Polonaise in Ab Major, Op. 53.
Heroic
Played by Idil Biret
The polonaise is an imposing, stately, slow Polish processional stately folk dance performed by couples
who walk around the dance hall very much like a march but it is written in a 3/4 meter instead of 4/4.
The accent comes on the first beat, the first step of the dance being a long, sweeping one.
Each polonaise of Chopin's is a poem in its own right;
each a different one, and each must be treated differently.
